Found this fake EOTech on eBay for only $35, I knew we had to review it and compare it to a real $400 EOTech.
Surprisingly, they are actually pretty similar.

I never liked using the ACOG, I was better with iron sights, but I prefer red dots over irons. I have a Holosun on my rifle right now
the "cheapotech" can be great for training and testing in certain conditions which you can learn from for when you be in a situation where your realotech is placed in the same situation
What if you throw a fake one on a 22 rifle? 22 doesn’t have much recoil so it should hold up for a while right?

I guessed right by looking at the thickness of the housing of the actual optic, EOTechs is much thinner than the knock off, that said, somehow, the knockoff looked more premium
The fake one is not a viable option due to how tinted the glass is. Very difficult to see the target through it. I bought one of those fakes over a decade ago for my S&W 15-22 and they’re just not worth it. I also have a legit 512 on my Block 1 build and it’s a damn good optic.

I got a temu gel blaster magnifier and cheap red dot as a hybrid build💀 better then nun (the plastic gel blaster magnifier scope usually flys off from recoil)
I’m in the middle of returning one of the clones. I didn’t realize the original had the same parallax problem, but I will say that %40 would be significant. Bore sighted at 40′ in my basement, parallax was just under 2′. Taking that down to 1′, again, would be significant.
How do you do this entire review and NOT know the BIGGEST DIFFERENCE between those two sights is that the EOTech is a LASER DRIVEN HOLOGRAPIC sight and the fake is a cheap LED RED DOT ???
Not knowing this fundamental fact about the EOTech, and obviously not knowing all the advantages of a Holographic sight means you did zero research before making this toally ignorant video.

You can tell straight away your Eotech has slight delam 😂and not got a mirror for a lens 😂 an every time you switch colour that needs zeroing again
this is old so ohwell.. Like some others said Real one is an actual Holographic etched reticle… fake one is just a projected image. Real one will not get larger under magnification / dot and reticle stay the same size. Any non holographic red dot will Appear larger under magnification.. Real one is sealed and nitrogen purged making it waterproof to some depth ( the exps ones are further down than the xps) water will for sure get in the fakeotech.
Since its an etched reticle that is a hologram if your optics glass takes a bullet/ is dropped / takes a ricochet.. Even if glass is shattered you can still see the reticle and even rezero it. Regular red dot can’t do so

Wind and elevation dials don’t click. They just simply turn. It will not hold zero using this on any real firearm.

I just ordered a 551 version of this optic off Amazon to use on my shotgun, I’m curious how it will perform over time…
bro, how are they similar? The fake one has a dark tint, a shitty looking reticle, and I guarantee you it is not even a little water resistant and will not work on a recoiling gun. I’ve had a very similar airsoft eotech break on a gas blowback airsoft gun.
The EOTECH is an actual Holographic scope; the other is NOT!

The lack of parallax doesn’t begin until 50 yards, my guy.
I have one of these, and honestly? It’s not bad. It’s certainly not anything like a real eotech in terms of functionality, like a cheapo optic like this probably won’t work well with NVGs. It doesn’t have features like auto off and shake awake, it doesn’t have great glass. But, it still stays on tight and holds zero fine in my experience.

Honestly they look clunky. For the most part the thirty five dollar one fits my rational and pocketbook more than $400 I can buy another gun. It’s not likely that I’ll use it in a true combat scenario. I would only want it because it looks cool and if it doesn’t work I’m out of fast food cheap date..

lmao they do not perform "pretty much the same". not even close. the knock off is not a holographic sight. the light transmission is atrocious. even on video it looks like the tint on sunglasses. Parallax is significantly worse and I don’t even wanna know what happens if you put it on a real gun and shoot it. seems good for airsoft and that’s about it
Es obvio en la prueba de reflexión el busca el ángulo donde el chino se ve el reflejo de luz y lo hace a proposito mientas cuando agarra el gringo lo mueve poco y lo saca del enfoque de luz, estos gringos dan es risa (ojo sigue siendo ligeramente lejor el hecho en gringolandia pero solo en lo que el enfoque de mira respecta a un 1,100% del costo)
