I tried to connect my MiniMac with a 1080 android smart TV through 8K HDMI, unfortunately it’s not working! Any idea ?

Audio quest brand HDMI which sold in Best Buy for everyday 4k stuff for console gaming or pc gaming THX certified HDMI or HDMI which actually made by THX which sold online only.

  7. @MistaFussichannel on December 16, 2024 at 7:54 pm

Better designed cables absolutely do make a difference. If you have a £250.00 60 inch screen from Asda buying a better cable won’t really help you. However if you’ve spent money on decent oled tv and 4k player it’s best to get a high quality cable to get the best out of it. I’m sorry but this guy has no idea what he’s talking about. 🫤

    Excellent.

YA GOT THAT STRAIGHT – GET RIPPED OFF. ANYTHING MORE THAN $50 TO $100 FOR A 2 – 3M 4K HDMI is Technically Mindless.

Late to the Game on this video, I use the basic HDMI cable I had in a box, and it works great from the Receiver to the TV, (it was on that they give you when you get a new cable box) I use it on Sharp Aquos 65" the TV is about 10 years old and it still puts out a great picture when I use it on my DVD player

  11. @Atlink on December 16, 2024 at 7:56 pm

I simply despise HDMI in the sense that people can get so royally ripped off. To be honest, as long as it’s meeting bandwidth specs, go for the cheapest cable you feel comfortable getting. Remember: These are cables that are going to be plugged in once, and shouldn’t be unplugged afterward, except a handful of times at most.

A 15 dollar 25 foot HDMI 2.0 cable is going to work just as well as a 2,000 3 foot HDMI cable, since everything, and I do mean everything other than Power and Ground, on the cable is a digital signal. It’s gonna work, or it won’t work. Simple as that.

whats a good cable for 4k or 1080p at 120hz??

  13. @alihussien7935 on December 16, 2024 at 7:57 pm

Thank you for a really good video.
I hope you can answer my question if you want to be helpful as you are. I want to buy a 49 inch samsung PC monitor (Samsung C49HG90DMU – CHG9 Series – QLED monitor – curved – 49" – HDR) Standard resolution 3840 x 1080 at 144 Hz

which usb cable would you recommend me? I have asked 3 different dealers, I got different answers from them. which made me extra questionable

  14. @penguin422613 on December 16, 2024 at 8:01 pm

Soo I have the Samsung Neo QLED 8k 900a tv with 4 HDMI 2.1 ports I have the ps5 and series x is the normal cable good enough to work on the 8K TV and have the best speed possible? Or should I buy another new wire HDMI for each console? I was looking at one called rocketfish by Best buy’s brand but apparently people said to watch out for that one? Then there’s one that appears on Amazon called the fusion 8K which seems extremely expensive and also I have the newest Samsung soundbar and I was wondering if these 8K 2.1 cables make a difference for those as well

hey question i have a nvidea shield and a avr surround sound i need some top quality hdmi cord to work with my surround sound trying to combine them can u help me whats the best hdmi cord i can use?

  19. @izou840 on December 16, 2024 at 8:04 pm

Super vidéo but I think you miss the point, today when u look for hdmi 8k certified the big problème is witch trademark to trust, cuz u never know if advertisement is true on the package that’s why u go for more expensive cable hoping they didn’t lie about the specs, I try 4 different one befor to have one that do the job 😢

  20. @NicholasAHanley on December 16, 2024 at 8:06 pm

Great job Chris. I love the aesthetics of your channel.

  21. @tomlocke2805 on December 16, 2024 at 8:06 pm

In my opinion higher priced cable do slightly improve picture quality but maybe its a placebo effect for me. You are not paying the extra money for picture quality you are paying for build quality. Take monster cables, they look great and they are not going to break after 2 months and you need this build quality if you are putting them in the wall like everyone does these days. 👍👍

  22. @scottlowell493 on December 16, 2024 at 8:07 pm

The best buy gold plated HDMI cables are a total waste of cash. The markup is insane. I got a set of SIX 2 meter 8K cables from amazon for the price of ONE of those gold plated cables.

  23. @PakoRecords on December 16, 2024 at 8:08 pm

hey bro, maybe a late question but i just bought a 8k HDMI cable and have a 4k 60hz tv, does it stil work? The 8k cable says it’s supports the 4k 120hz but i don’t see 4k 60hz Or is the cable too much? Or does it stil support? Thanks.

  24. @SoutherRebelDoUFunDu on December 16, 2024 at 8:08 pm

Any suggestions for me, I have a PS4 going to a 32inch Computer monitor. (Ps4 I believe can only run 1080P)
Currently I’m using standard Cable that came with PS4 back in 2016. Any suggestions for an upgrade

  25. @Justlowland on December 16, 2024 at 8:10 pm

whould you know what a good 165hz hdmi cable is so that i could buy one

  26. @rgruenhaus on December 16, 2024 at 8:10 pm

I was a cable company field tech and one customer had a $100 monster hdmi and it didn’t pass a signal at all. Since i left that job in 2008 i moved on up to all 4K devices and my TV and Receiver are saying that i need better hdmi with the eARC. I have a Samsung QLED 65" and a TX-NR6100 ONKYO Receiver 4K. I just bought a Sony ubp-x800m2 and I’m waiting for that. I ordered the best HDMI that Ican find for a decent price of about $12 each with eARC 2.1 and HDCP 2.3 with a pass through of 48GB so I’m hoping my components can talk to each other and pass signal without flickers.

Dude you rock this video is soooo helpful

  30. @syncmonism on December 16, 2024 at 8:10 pm

I just got a couple of "certified" hdmi 2.1 cables for a friend who just got an LG B3 OLED, and who also has an eARC compliant receiver. Shockingly, the audio return channel didn’t work at all on one of the cables.

The certification sticker looked completely real, and I looked it up using the special hdmi forum app to verify that the certification was real. Maybe we just got unlucky, but when only one of the features doesn’t work, you’re not likely to even notice it until much later, and with the audio return channel ("ARC"), you might think that that you’re not using the right settings or something. I was very disappointed. There’s a good chance that it’s related to poor design or poor manufacturing quality. The brand was "Faroume", and they were 2 metre cables.

I suppose that it’s probably still better to get certified cables, but it doesn’t seem to be a guaruntee, and I do wonder if some of these brands are getting away with lowering the quality to reduce costs after paying for certification.

  31. @teneesh3376 on December 16, 2024 at 8:12 pm

Normal length or shorter hdmi cables are fine. But the long ones are ones you have to look out for. Get the wrong one, and things can break

  32. @Bassic778 on December 16, 2024 at 8:13 pm

Great video!!!! I’m going to check out some fiber optic HDMI cables!

  34. @StateofDecayScience on December 16, 2024 at 8:16 pm

Hey Chris!! I really have trouble choosing a way to run the video signal 50ft to my projector.

I like to run the cable through the walls. So I figured, HDMI over ethernet are the best way since the ethernet cable can be cut and joint!

Are HDMI over ethernet good? You haven’t covered this topic yet. I am thinking about buying J-Tech digital 4k HDMI extender (JTECH-EX230 in amazon).

Really love to hear your opinion about this!!

  35. @tampametal on December 16, 2024 at 8:17 pm

Monoprice cables have never failed me

  36. @deionnpcfit on December 16, 2024 at 8:18 pm

Wow great tip on reviews filtering. Filtered to 6ft and there were no bad reviews. 15 dollars for a great cable. I feel much better about everything after this video. Thanks man!

  37. @ArcanePath360 on December 16, 2024 at 8:20 pm

So much crap on Amazon now. I just want 4k60hz HDR over 10 feet. Is that too much to ask? Apparently so. Sending back cable after cable.

  38. @hazeleyesbrandiyingling9262 on December 16, 2024 at 8:21 pm

I have a QLED q90t, I use feiz link 8k 15 foot fiber optic HDMI from all my equipment (4k player, Xbox,)etc. to tv then I use monster cobalt 8k 4foot from earc to sound bar. i use to use all copper not any more just from tv too sound bar. I don’t have lip sync issues and neons are really neon I am getting vrr and 120fps I didn’t before so don’t tell me expensive don’t work. watched movies the colors are more vibrant and deep with others the colors were washed out. 2023

  39. @babymaker13th on December 16, 2024 at 8:21 pm

Monster cables suck they have a lifetime warranty on their cables and I returned 2 hdmi cables to them as instructed but now they don’t answer their phones I returned the m 1000

    👍

  43. @optimusminimus-v3d on December 16, 2024 at 8:28 pm

It’s pretty easy to figure out, getting an HDMI cable from Poundland, Poundstretcher for £1.99 or less you deserve trouble with your AV, if you go and splash £99 or £50 even £25 is also unnecessary. For about £10 take a look at the IBRA 2.1 HDMI 8K 2m ultra HD hi-speed cable whenever anyone notices my own they insist it’s a top of the range effort!…..seriously.

  44. @LunaticTheCat on December 16, 2024 at 8:29 pm

I recommend Amazon Basics 48Gbps, HDMI2.1 cables for those who want a high-quality and affordable HDMI cable (as long as it’s not the 10-foot version, which LTT testing has shown doesn’t work as intended). 😊

  45. @RobSoRandom on December 16, 2024 at 8:33 pm

I recently came upon an HDMI for free it looked nice so I hooked it up to my pc I was shocked because my screen damn near brightened up just overall quality just went up. I have a super high tec samsung monitor. The HDMI worked so good i google it. This shit cost 429 bucks on Amazon it’s a AudioQuest. I’m over shocked thats the only reason im on your video i was googling do quality really matters because I always thought it didnt when it comes to hdmi. I cant speak for all hdmi cables but in my case that shit really mattered lol. My screen looks amazing didnt even know my monitor has this in it all this damn time lol

I’m looking at fiber optic hdmi cables for 4K and 50’ what’s your opinion on them

  48. @masudkabir9214 on December 16, 2024 at 8:39 pm

Y r wrong, try Audioquest Thunder then talk about HDMI Cables.

  49. @nuckinfuts7502 on December 16, 2024 at 8:40 pm

My TV only has 2 HDMI ports. One of which is being used for my sound bar so I’m looking for an HDMI switcher so I can effectively have multiple devices connected to one HDMI port. I was wondering if you or anyone can help me find a splitter that is compatible with 4k and will not sacrifice video or audio quality.

  50. @PJGV23 on December 16, 2024 at 8:40 pm

I purchase 8K HDMI will it work on my regular LED Smart TV?
