Note: If your transformer is marginal (ex. drops to 15.5v with the dorrbell wired in) the dual wired will not only fail to stream video reliably, but it will eventually brick on an upgrade – trust me. If your transformer is not easily accessible like mine, you can work around by moving to the E340 model that has a battery and can operate with transformer voltages as low as 8v.

I have a couple of the previous model, without the doorbell or package camera, and they work just fine for me. One is charging while the other is "one duty".
My waving American flag and tall trucks passing by my fence would activate the camera, so I made a cover, from thin sheet metal, like the brim of a baseball cap, to limit the camera’s vertical view, and it works just fine. The base of the "brim" is secured between the stucco wall and the mount, so it stays in place.
Wow, first video I went to find the best doorbell for 2024. I knew my Ring subscription was coming up and I wanted something else….preferably free! Ring would always freeze up when someone pushed the bell–totally useless. This was a 100% bona fide breakdown of what this doorbell is. I’m sold–Thank you!

It doesn’t matter what company you choose.
Any company that has free subscription eventually creates a subscription after they have a particular number of units sold or on line.
Once they have you, they just keep taking away features / raising rates .
Can you store Video to a harddrive at home?
It was on my shortlist, but unfortunately I have no power outlets even remotely close to my front door. My search continues.

its an electronic all these door bell ring cams have issues and break and stop working, all that. lol will you get lucky is the question. seen many bad reviews on this. deff cheaper options without subs out there but your paying 200 for something that may break still. Rather take my chances w a cheaper option ngl. Great vid though.

I have a Eufy battery doorbell 2k it’s ok…the notification is very slow, by the time my phone notifies me whom ever was at the door is already gone. It is clear though.
Does the app that comes with it, install on PCs as well?
Can you view the video live and speak to the caller when you are not at home?
I am torn between buying a doorbell or making my own using an ESP32 or a micro single board computer and camera sensor and 3D printing the enclosure
I live in an upper Duplex, I’m sitting on the sideline because I’m not certain how it would connect to the WIFI is the EUFY is at the entrance downstairs and the router is upstairs. Have you tried it on a duplex?

Had the Eufy ultra 2k hd. Doorbell ring stopped working when pressed about 3 months out of warranty period. Tried everything to get it working but to no avail. The support from Eufy was terrible. 🇬🇧
I got rid of my Ring doorbell and the ripoff subscription plan. I purchased the Eufy dual camera doorbell. Eufy rocks! No subscription! So much better than the Ring doorbell.
I actually resold my Eufy as the field of vision is very narrow and the parcel camera is just pathetic.

I bought the ring doorbell Gen 2 last month and we had the hurricane without power for a couple weeks maybe longer and I just got internet back today. And my ring doorbell is not recognizing the password which I don’t understand because there was only one password. I think I paid like 45 bucks it was brand new in the box but my only downfall with this one is I don’t have $400 for a camera

If you are coming across this video as I did in my search for a camera doorbell, one point not discussed here. Eufy, under the same parent company as Anker, has been pretty scummy about the privacy of you stored images both locally and cloud stored. If you have privacy concerns you may wish to continue looking.
You will also see the some models can be removed, hold a button for several seconds and bam all local data is erased. Replace doorbell and enjoy free Amazon packages. 🙁
When you watch your video, you are literally watching it from a server in California. The ring literally is a webcam. That’s it.
My worry would be about data privacy, most of these other companies are Chinese, who have next to nope data protection, as if your paying no subscription fee they do you really think the company is going to pay for data protection for there customers. I’m be worried how the data is being used, prefer a US company that have to comply to data laws having my info.

You put up a good argument but left out a few things. Eufy has the worst reputation for connection problems and latency as high as ten minutes. They send first to their servers which they don’t tell you, then back to you. So hoards of owners don’t now why they are getting their information so late, well I just told you. Support is horrible if you want to call it support, the use a BOT type support and it’s crazy to get to talk to a human that can’t help you anyway. They’ve sent out wired units in battery labeled boxes which tell me it could be a returned unit. The best I saved for the last, it’s 2.4 ghz unit that only works with certain conditions and certain routers. Yes they have grave problems with WIFI. The will send you a new unit only to have to reset everything up again and they don’t tell you that you have to be within 10 ft. of your router. There claim to battery life is false unless you have everything turned off which renders the unit useless.
