Are the speakers loud enough for video calls when there is background fan noise present?

  2. @YavartSingh on March 7, 2025 at 3:39 pm

I have been using this for more than 3 years and it’s the best gadget i have bought never gave up on me, I’m buying a second one this month and I’ll be using it as a vertical monitor

Do you have any problem with 4k scaling? Are everything is big enough to see or texts are so small? By the way what scaling do you use for your productivity? I want to buy this monitor for Logic pro … thanks for your video.

  5. @patrick.991 on March 7, 2025 at 3:41 pm

does a 4K 27 inch monitor work great with windows scaling in 2024 or should I go for a QHD instead?
It’s for my dad and he’ll probably need 200% scaling.

Is the UP85NP good for video editing and is 5ms and 60hz take of my quality? Can someone help me pls

  7. @Vintagesonic1 on March 7, 2025 at 3:44 pm

I’m going to buy this monitor, but its a different model. Instead of 60hz its 144hz. I’m assuming not much else is different about this version and the 144hz version, so I’m crossing my fingers it’ll be just as good as this one. There are virtually zero reviews of the 144hz one, and I have no idea why. Maybe its a country exclusive kinda thing?

For anyone curious, the monitor I’m getting is the "LG 27UQ750-W 27" 4K UHD 144Hz Business Monitor."

Is LG 27UP850 (a newer version of this) still a good pick for today? Another option is the Dell U2723QE, but ngl the price on LG is pretty tempting. Will mostly use it for web design and dev.

  9. @mihnealazar7039 on March 7, 2025 at 3:46 pm

How is HDR on the LG?. I mean when you output HDR10 video signal to it, I had the predecessor of this monitor (27UL850N) and when I outputted HDR signal to it from my computer it always started being very magenta and completely fricked up the colours. When i’d switch back to SDR signal the colour would revert to normal. This made it unusable for HDR even though it had VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. Does this problem exist on this monitor too?
    Thanks

Thank you for this helpful video. I bought it since the cheap 1080 monitor had very blurry text. The text on this monitor is sharp and easy to read. However, I keep seeing a message to use original wires and I did use the ones from the box to connect it so I don’t know how to stop this message.

I’m watching this video on 18 July 2024, about a week after my Dell P2721Q 4K monitor died (after working well for three and half years). I’m wondering if I should replace it with another Dell or perhaps an LG, possibly the one you’re reviewing (or that you reviewed two years ago).

Do you know why BenQ Monitors flicker on M2 MacBooks?

  22. @kikiwora on March 7, 2025 at 4:00 pm

    I am using a Samsung LS27A800U monitor — 4K, 27", 250 nit max
And the brightness is the biggest downside of it. Barely usable, most of a sunny day.

I am considering buying another monitor right now — either BENQ GW2790QT (350 nits) or MSI MAG 274QRFW (400 nit), both 1440p
The issue with deciding between those two is that the first one directed for photo editing and coding, but somehow has only SRBB coverage, while the second one has P3 coverage, better brightness and much higher frame rate, but does not have some smart features and proper colour profiles built in.

And yes, I am one of those wanting the white monitor, not a black one.

Hard to decide between the last two because what I really want is a combination of best features from both, or at least a BENQ with proper colour gamut, but alas…

How is this compared to the new Xiaomi G pro 27i?

  25. @yttean98 on March 7, 2025 at 4:04 pm

Back is plastic whether it Hold up over time, you think this relevant today, the life cycle of this product is about 2-4 years plastic cannot hold up less than 4yrs, think again. Most owners will get rid of them within 4years of ownership.

Having trouble getting my iMac to recognize this with USB-C – does anyone have advice? Do I need a adapter??

  28. @blender_wiki on March 7, 2025 at 4:11 pm

For video editing you don’t need a 10bit monitor you don’t even need a rec.709 monitor, is editing not colors grading. 🤷🏿‍♀️🤷🏿‍♀️🤷🏿‍♀️

  29. @alanabley525 on March 7, 2025 at 4:12 pm

Thank you, I found this very useful. I would like to edit 10bit videos on my monitor so is arc a no no?

Hi man! If you could choose a monitor for photo/video editing, would you pick this LG 27UN850 or the Dell U2720Q? Spending daaaaaays watching videos and still not sure what to buy 😩

I am using the SAMSUNG LU32R590CWP but looking for a budget 4k vertical monitor. Do you have any recommendations?

  36. @conradbondarek3902 on March 7, 2025 at 4:19 pm

Have you had the chance to test out the ASUS ProArt PA279CV in connection with a Macbook? I’m literally trying to choose between the Asus and the LG 27UN850 but would prefer a direct comparison review to make up my mind.

  37. @tirathfaldu on March 7, 2025 at 4:20 pm

1 question…. If i connect my laptop via USB C so will it automatically start charging my laptop or do i have to manually (or in settings) start it and if it’s automatically can i stop it manually because I don’t want to overcharge my laptop?🤔

  38. @ducinguyen5510 on March 7, 2025 at 4:20 pm

i`m considering buying the LG 27UP850N-W. What are the differences and what do you think about it?

  39. @MaTiCeK on March 7, 2025 at 4:25 pm

Has anyone figured out how to stop the monitor shutting off power to usb devices when going to sleep? I have a MBP connected via usb-c, the speakers are connected to the monitor and when the monitor goes to sleep, the music stops as well.

  40. @jmurray2018 on March 7, 2025 at 4:25 pm

That pricing surprised me, it looks about $60. Scalpers have moved on to make monitors I guess.

  41. @jatoav8or on March 7, 2025 at 4:25 pm

I’ve used this monitor for the past 10 months for video editing and as of late playing X-Plane 12 flight simulator using a 2023 MBP M2 pro. I really don’t have any complaints especially considering I paid well under $300 delivered. The PD isn’t going to fast charge a totally depleted laptop but definitely keeps you going indefinitely. They also make an identical model with higher PD output 96w 27UP850 for $369 as of 12/23

  42. @moekhaliqfarhan on March 7, 2025 at 4:25 pm

With just a USB-C cable, can I connect ROG Ally with this monitor?

  43. @John-vh1fk on March 7, 2025 at 4:26 pm

How does this monitor do with MacOS scaling? I have it in order to use with my Mac Mini but hear 4k 27” monitors don’t work well with MacOS.

  44. @babyyoda6771 on March 7, 2025 at 4:27 pm

Do you think the 95% DCI-P3 would be noticeably different on the UP over the UN? I ordered a UN but am wondering if I should cancel and reorder the UP? It’s like $35 more and I honestly don’t know if I need it or not.

  45. @jjctn on March 7, 2025 at 4:28 pm

Hi. Would you still recommend this monitor in 2023, specifically for using with Mac Mini M2? What would be the other options? This is for a family computer, with some light creative work. Thanks

  47. @IanSAbraham on March 7, 2025 at 4:30 pm

Does anyone have an issue with this device playing audio from the monitor?

  49. @HammadKhanYT on March 7, 2025 at 4:31 pm

@5:20 so you can connect your laptop to this monitor using USB-C and it will charge your laptop as well as output the video signal? This is amazing!

  50. @maheshgvelly on March 7, 2025 at 4:33 pm

Is it still worth it today in 2023 ? And how about 32 inch ?
