Just upgraded my Samsung odyssey G6 to the oled version of the g6. It is definitely a night and day difference. I’m currently using a rtx 4070 i7 14700F cpu (yes I use intel and love it) the newest mag Z790 msi tomahawk mobo a 4tb NVMe M.2 PCie gen 4 ssd with heatsink (has read speeds of 7400 mb per second.) 2 X 16gb sticks of RAM at 6000 hz a kraken elite 360mm cooler my setup is decent I wanted to stay in the 1440p realm. My wallet is not ready for 4k nor do I feel the price justifies the small performance jump make oled your next upgrade you won’t regret it!

  4. @keno921 on December 16, 2024 at 7:37 pm

The jump from 2k to 4k is still a big jump, this is insane, i only play 4k 144hz, its insane

  5. @brooklynvlogs9396 on December 16, 2024 at 7:40 pm

Lighting matters a lot too. OLED ain’t gonna be as bright so if he’s playing in a well lit room he might have to deal with glare.

    i run the odyssey neo g8 4k 240hz on my 4080super/i9-14900k and it’s AMAZING!!!!!

  24. @Fayeburnmusic on December 16, 2024 at 8:05 pm

OLED is the best. Modern panels can go as low as 59hz (baseline) and reach 300hz.

  25. @ZachsTechTurf on December 16, 2024 at 8:06 pm

Which one would you go with?

  26. @rose_watr on December 16, 2024 at 8:07 pm

4K is over kill don’t buy 4k monitor

  27. @jonah11111 on December 16, 2024 at 8:09 pm

    The jump from 1080 to 1440 is the same as 1440 to 4k. (Coming from someone who went 1080 > 4k > 1440… But if you’re going 4k, get a 32inch.

  28. @Will_b83 on December 16, 2024 at 8:09 pm

I screwed up going with my Corsair xenon flex.
OLED is nice…but be warned. Once you’ve had it…you will not be able to go back. To add a little perspective to anyone trying to decide.
I went all out to a ridiculous level on my latest gaming PC, I had Digital Storm build be a machine that will remain relevant for at least the next 7 years without having to touch it.
I paired it with a Strix monitor that was 4K.
It looked fantastic but I wasn’t sold, so I bought the Corsair and it was no longer a choice…it’s what I had to have. At 1440 P it looks so much better than 4K.

  29. @Quantumanoaly8907 on December 16, 2024 at 8:10 pm

That’s when you save up more money and get a 4K OLED monitor.

  30. @MahdiNazari-s8x on December 16, 2024 at 8:12 pm

    Should i get an 1080p ultrawide 21:4 or 1440p 16:9 for rtx4060 ?

  31. @justadistinguishedgentlema1806 on December 16, 2024 at 8:18 pm

Can I get both? One 4K and the other 1440p?

  32. @pccalcio on December 16, 2024 at 8:18 pm

    2k oled brother, no doubt

  33. @Matthew-j3b on December 16, 2024 at 8:18 pm

    Cheap 4k is awful

    Laughs in 4k 160Hz MiniLED

  37. @BozTheReaper on December 16, 2024 at 8:21 pm

i had 2 big jumps in my gameplay experience this weekend. i went from a 27in 1080p, va panel to a 32in 1440p, ips panel and i don’t want to ever use my old montior again. the jump between my 2 i feel are equally big as non oled to oled because ips panels are just so much brighter yet much more dark at the same time over the other 2 lcd options while keeping quality and no smearing that i have seen compared my old va panel and the jump to 1440p from 1080 is night and day. you’ll never want to go back

  38. @daEasyDM on December 16, 2024 at 8:21 pm

Me sitting here after I bought two Gigabyte M32u 4k monitors with my 4080 super lol….

  39. @darkmaster666. on December 16, 2024 at 8:22 pm

    Why not 4k oled?

  40. @pixelplayz540 on December 16, 2024 at 8:22 pm

Cant i just lower the res to 1440p from 4k and get the fps boost ?

  41. @PythonKali on December 16, 2024 at 8:23 pm

If there is an OLED in any comparison, the winner is OLED. 1440p OLED > 4K not oled models.

  42. @OpKatlife on December 16, 2024 at 8:25 pm

Why not just go with a dual 4k 240/ 1440p 480hz WOLED like lg?? You get best of both worlds

  43. @king_gt7996 on December 16, 2024 at 8:26 pm

Such a weak answer. If you play at 4k and go to 1440p there is a huge difference. Do not compare 1080 to 1440 and 1440 to 4k. Compare going from 1080 to 1440p and 4k and that tells the difference. There is no wow factor with frames. But there is with image resolution. 4k is a must unless you only play online shooters

  44. @WHYARENOHANDLESAVAILABLE1 on December 16, 2024 at 8:26 pm

not ztt showning a side by side when I am on a 720p monitor 😭

  45. @carlobarley1985 on December 16, 2024 at 8:27 pm

The answer is 4k OLED high refresh rate 🎉🎉

  46. @bobjackson4287 on December 16, 2024 at 8:27 pm

    Framerate is king, the end.

  47. @irelandgrt on December 16, 2024 at 8:28 pm

1440p oled will look better because of the contrast alone.

  48. @jameskyler5441 on December 16, 2024 at 8:29 pm

for me the biggest impact was going to Ultra-wide 21×9 aspect ratio. 3440×1440 is amazing

  49. @Devil-024 on December 16, 2024 at 8:30 pm

    Why not just the G8 4K 240Hz and the G6 1440p 360hz. I’ve got them both.

I play FPS games on the G6.
And beautiful games and movies on the G8.

  50. @GameRTmaster on December 16, 2024 at 8:31 pm

    4k is 2.25 times bigger than 1440p
    1440p is only 0.70 bigger than 1080p
4k will give you a really beautiful detailed image
    Go with it
