I have read several times in the comments that Asus products are problematic…
Can anyone provide evidence of this or are there any sources?

I was thinking about getting the G14 on Black Friday, but don’t know if it’s a good decision.
I need the device for Blender, Unreal Engine and Adobe while traveling… I don’t want to spend my money on a product that won’t last me at least 5 years.

I was really into Zephyrus in the beginning but the upgradability is a turn off for me.

I am from Philippines and Legion 7i is around $2300 USD from here but I was able to get it for $1580 USD in Lenovo USA website!

    Here’s the specs! 😀

    Processor 14th Generation Intel® Core™ i9-14900HX Processor (E-cores up to 4.10 GHz P-cores up to 5.80 GHz)
Operating System Windows 11 Home 64

Soldered RAM is a deal breaker. What happens when that memory starts having errors and you’re blue screening? You can’t do shit if you have the ASUS. With the Lenovo, you can just put new RAM in it.

  4. @Legend_God6969 on December 16, 2024 at 7:47 pm

how is i9 better than u9

  5. @alvirarahman574 on December 16, 2024 at 7:50 pm

The G16 has a much better OLED Screen and way better speakers. Plus it is so much lighter.

  6. @rikukame4027 on December 16, 2024 at 7:51 pm

I watched about 20-30 Youtube feedback about Legion i7 and Asus G16, now i see your are the best! BUT to be honest i cant choose some things i love in G16 and some in Legion i7, i have no idea how to find you which one should i buy.

  7. @Peaceull on December 16, 2024 at 7:52 pm

Absolutely peak design for both, they are so beautiful and minimalistic

  8. @Scarrus666 on December 16, 2024 at 7:52 pm

How do the resolutions compare? I’m coming from an M1 MacBook Air and I’m worried about the 1600p screen being a bit too pixelated for me.

  9. @xeggman on December 16, 2024 at 7:53 pm

witch one should i buy im really stuck in between. (for some clearance i love gaming with my laptop but watching movies with loved ones and friends is also a huge part of the purchase i have been using a thinkpad and looking for an upgrade. im really stoked about the oled screen and speakers of the G16 but the white look for the legion and the upgradeability so witch one should i buy?)

  10. @kuntalkalita on December 16, 2024 at 7:55 pm

0:41 half size keyboard alone is a let fown for me.

  11. @gungunsaxena8340 on December 16, 2024 at 7:55 pm

Both laptop are so expensive 😭

  12. @VGleakss on December 16, 2024 at 7:59 pm

    Asus tried to copycat Apple

  13. @kaiichinose9590 on December 16, 2024 at 8:02 pm

Great review, however at least in the US the third fan is replaced on the g16 with the 4080/4090 with Liquid Metal for better performance and runs cooler and quieter.

  14. @phynx2006 on December 16, 2024 at 8:02 pm

Because I want to use the Lap[top when I travel for Photography the smaller and lighter the better. When traveling by plane camera bags that are sized for carry-on have laptop sleeves that are not that generous and will just barely fit a 16" Laptop, Therefore I would choose the Asus Zephyrus G16.❤ Great video 👍👍😎

  15. @Scarrus666 on December 16, 2024 at 8:02 pm

I think the Zephyrus should be available in a 64gb option. 32gb is going to be obsolete for some tasks in the not so distant future. 16gb already feels on the edge.

  16. @CrazyAboutVinylRecords on December 16, 2024 at 8:06 pm

You have a better chance of finding a Yeti wandering around in New York City than you do of finding a Legion 7i in white with anything better than a RTX4060

  17. @TriDent9274 on December 16, 2024 at 8:06 pm

Not having the msi raider 16hx here is criminal.

  18. @alanliang9538 on December 16, 2024 at 8:06 pm

    weak 4070 4060 is hopeless running almost 4k 😂, it’s a crime calling this a gaming laptop

  19. @shivammajhi7979 on December 16, 2024 at 8:07 pm

G16 is for me. Simply can’t let the battery life go for toss. I was using the 2020 Acer Predator Helios 300 with i7 and rtx 2060 and it was probably one of the most value for money laptop but the battery could last only for like 2 hours in low brightness, 60hz, and system set to best efficiency. And apart from battery the weight was too much, it was 2.3 kgs, initially i thought i could manage but daily travel from college to my room with laptop and charger was not convenient.
Battery is equally as important as performance and Value for money proposition in my honest opinion.

  20. @jonathanrusso7674 on December 16, 2024 at 8:09 pm

I have a quick question as I dont know much about the pc world. If I buy the legion, and connect it to a 240hz monitor, i will still be able to use 240hz even though the laptop is 165hz right?

  21. @TinariKao on December 16, 2024 at 8:09 pm

I am just so god damn SICK of "thinner" and "lighter" laptops always getting all the "premium" treatment. Not that most people would care, since thinner and lighter IS the desired thing apparently. If dollar per dollar, inch per inch, pound per pound, these "thinner and lighter" laptops could equal and match bigger ones, then I’d take one but they just make sacrifices in areas that I just don’t care about.

In the triad of "Thin and light" "Price" "Specs" you only get to pick two, thin and light would never be on my list. I’m only irritated because OLED is still considered a premium thing that you seem to only find in the "premium" laptops, either thin and light 14" or just more expensive than I feel like investing in for a decent sized one.

    Just wanted to vent.

Guys please help me out here. Intel core ultra 9 or de AMD 9 I really need an answer for this 😢

  25. @malyedik2 on December 16, 2024 at 8:12 pm

would you still choose the legion 7i even if compared to the Ryzen version of the G16? im deciding between these two options

  26. @lpslpslpslpslpslps on December 16, 2024 at 8:14 pm

I can’t imagine spending thousands of dollars for a laptop and not even getting a numberpad

  27. @Djfresh84 on December 16, 2024 at 8:14 pm

are these overkill for someone who works from home and does heavy testing… no gaming… multiple monitors and lots of browsing tabs, memory intensive programs and microsoft office etc.

  28. @djnes2k7 on December 16, 2024 at 8:14 pm

    Can’t use a laptop without a number pad. It’s my krytonite…. Can’t do it.

  29. @alpzepta on December 16, 2024 at 8:19 pm

If you buying Lenovo Legion, just buy a Thinkpad P-series

  30. @ChrisAcebo on December 16, 2024 at 8:20 pm

    I love asus m16

  31. @vincentsmitz2493 on December 16, 2024 at 8:20 pm

  32. @MrJarmenK on December 16, 2024 at 8:21 pm

Even just for the screen i would choose Zephyrus

Will I be able to play call of duty and battlefield multiplayer on the Legion?

  36. @charlesha1532 on December 16, 2024 at 8:25 pm

Can u compare 4080 asus vs legion?

  37. @tamir5940 on December 16, 2024 at 8:25 pm

So I have a question. I was going to buy this laptop. There was even an open box at best for $1500 and that came with a 2 year protection plan that I chose. The only thing that killed the sale for me was that light bar on the outside of the screen. Dirt catches inside and then the light bar will be dim. Only thing that killed the sale for me. What would you recommend? I just want the oled.

  38. @thibaldus3 on December 16, 2024 at 8:26 pm

You should talk about PWN dimming. I really can’t buy a laptop with PWM that is too low.

  39. @mikespar7858 on December 16, 2024 at 8:27 pm

  41. @k9g5 on December 16, 2024 at 8:30 pm

Ive gone for legion pro 5 ryzen 9 4070 the price difference makes no sense to me to go for g16 or the legion 7i.. ive literally just paid £1500 total order for laptop and a few gaming bits from lenovo.. could of been £100 Cheaper if waited a day but all in feels like a good deal still. Laptops with similar specs close to 2k price ranges

  42. @4kORCHILL on December 16, 2024 at 8:33 pm

  44. @stefano78 on December 16, 2024 at 8:36 pm

Love my Legion Slim 7 (which is the previous year’s version of the Legion 7). That Glacier White is cool as hell though, but can’t justify getting it as my LS7 already has a RTX 4060.

  45. @darknez09240 on December 16, 2024 at 8:40 pm

lenovo legion has shitty solder job on their cpus, bunch of legion broken naturally that needed to resolder the cpu

  46. @TheEclectic on December 16, 2024 at 8:42 pm

Does the Legion Pro 7i just blow the G16 out of the water?

  47. @ImLucky6 on December 16, 2024 at 8:42 pm

hows do you think the amd version of the zephyrus hold up against the legion 7i (with intel i9-14hx), these are the 2 im watching the most currently

  48. @Legend_God6969 on December 16, 2024 at 8:42 pm

btw the zephyrus had a MUCH better camera and mic

  49. @dangnguyen1132 on December 16, 2024 at 8:42 pm
