I would like to heat an outdoor livestock water tank. What I need is a 10 minute interval timer. For example, turn it on for 2 minutes out of 10, or 3 minutes out of 10, or 4 minutes out of 10, etc. Can this device be programed to do that?

Should have titled “how to setup a TP Link smart plug”. I do like TP-Link devices, but was looking for help for Teckin crap. These plugs have worked for years, now suddenly don’t. Suspect it’s the App and has a conflict with iOS 14.

Just got a 3 pack for Christmas not sure what I’m going to do with them.
Hi thanks very much for a great video! A question: after I set up the plug and set a timer, if for some reason it went offline, I.e. lost connection with the WiFi router, would the timer still work? In other words would the plug remember the setting and turn itself off at the preset time? Thanks a lot!

I have to admit defiant smart plugs are the best smart device I have ever used in my life they are so easy to set up I didn’t have that typical ******** with the 2.4 gig connection I mean now you plug it in you run the software it finds it and you turn it on or off or you set up a entire array of timers I use it in a grow tent actually I have two of them for some different devices humidifiers etcetera lights stuff like that and it’s absolutely amazing. I’m gonna buy a dozen of them I swear to Christ

So if i dont have internet at home and im away from home and i want my aircon to cool the house down before i arrive can i turn it on while im at work.?
you should emphasize that these only work with dumb devices with old school physical on/off switches… ie: not the fan in your video (it’ll turn it off, but it won’t turn it on)

Does this device require a cloud server to work meaning if the company that runs the cloud server goes away the device will no longer work?
Sorry to tell you,.,.The APP doesnt work like that Mine get to the Wi fi and it say "Unsecured "and then the app to continue it doesn’t go any farther.. What does one do when you get that reading onto the app? Explain please … Is it my phone settings …Or my Wi fi?
This is a lie haha. Just bought a few smart plugs. Plugged it into the outlet and plugged in the fan. But because the fan has a power on and off button, the plug is useless no ??

Best of all, they don’t require an overly expensive hub. All you need is a router with 2.4ghz wifi.
