I got an Asus TUF 2 years ago, i enjoy myself with it, can play almost any game, but i admit in summer he runs a little loud with the fan but im mobile.
As someone owning an msi katana with a gtx4070, i really dont have anything thats annoys me. I can use it anywhere, i dont need a monitor or a keyboard and it takes up way less space then a tower plus monitor plus keyboard.

Bro buying a $1000 laptop is effectively a more worthy to me, just based on the fact that it’s already pre built and comes with all you may need ( except for a headset probably ) but other than that, its a perfect option especially considering that most " Gaming " PCs are just overpriced and overall big and bulky and it’s definitely not a nice looking thing no matter how colorful or decorative u make it. Also mobility and portability are great factors for business management, communication and actually bringing in revenue and passive income ( but some people get it for games or stuff that they don’t even get paid from ) but other than that, for 1000 dollars u should invest into stocks or something and get a bit more money before buying a PC that always has outdated parts every month💯👍🤷 Team Laptop FTW🥱
Even tho pc’s give better performance, I prefer laptops because of their portability and they have a keyboard, monitor and mouse even tho the keyboard etc are not that good, it’s still smth
A 1000$ laptop in the US is gonna be 1200€ in my country, whereas a 1000$ desktop is gonna be 1800€ where I live. This kinda blurs the line between desktop and laptop price-to-performance in my country, as long as the laptop cools decently enough to not need to be underclocked

could u tell me a good set up like what to buy for the components like could u list them bc i have no clue and my budget is around 1k — 2.5k so could u tell me what part to buy and i dont know so is it ok if you could list them?? @ZachsTechTurf
Besides that he didn’t mention the most important thing – lifespan. A laptop will be barely usable after 2 years of gaming. A PC would probably last at least 10 years without big performance issues.
Go with what fits your lifestyle. I bought a 2k laptop when I was living in an apartment with 2 other people. Why? The apartment I was in was not the best for electronics and I didn’t want to deal with moving a desktop when leaving (as well as several other reasons). I’d have had to run a 100+ foot cable through the entire apartment just to reach a network port. Wasn’t something that would be easy to live with.

4060 laptop and desktop have the same die which their performance not too far apart except the laptop you got 30-100watt max tdp limit its a bit far behind.
I got scammed where I live at a small store, not really much inside. On Christmas day, my mom gave me a gaming pc, to which I later found out she paid 1k for it, and what’s inside is the very bare minimum components, and the list goes as: ryzen 3 3600g, 8gb ram that’s it other than that a weird unknown asus b550am gaming motherboard and a 400w psu and the case is very unknown I found one picture of it and that was from the uk ever since then I’m never going back to that shop ever again if I need something I’m buying it off of Amazon or newegg
(EDIT: Sorry for the super long comment. Just wanted to give my opinion in a little bit of detail, lmao!)
When i first got into PC’s several years ago, i didn’t really know all that much other then the basics and how to use it as a "normal" person would like emails, web browsing, YouTube, ect.
I used to be into games on consoles as a kid and teenager and then grew out of it in my earlier 20’s.
But, then i ended up getting injured and was basically worthless and had absolutely nothing to do. So, decided to get into gaming but didnt want a console.
I decided to do some research and learn a little of the technical stuff with a PC. I decided to go with a gaming laptop over a desktop because it was basically the same thing to me.
I went with an Asus Zephyrus M15 with the I7-9750H and RTX 2060. It had just been released like 2 weeks before i bought it. It was the greatest thing ever for me!! I went with that because it was super powerful (at the time), it was easily portable and it saved me a ton of money because it already had a screen, mouse, keyboard and speakers built in.
It shot made me get really deep into learning all about PCs. I researched the difference between the laptops and PC’s. Then when it came time to get a new one, i had the to make a decision.
I ended up going with another laptop. The Lenovo Legion 5I with the I7-10750h and GTX 1660ti. It was a great laptop. I had it for about a year and decided to start building my own PC’s. I of course bought a pre-built and learned how to upgrade them. I cant remember the CPU, but i do know it only had a GTX 960. I got it super cheap and learned off of that and have been building since.
Now I have the Asus Strix G17 G713pv gaming laptop with the Ryzen 9 9 7845HX and RTX 4060 and i built a gaming PC with an I5-11400F and RTX 4060.
I know there’s a performance difference between a gaming laptop and desktop, but honestly, 95% of people wouldn’t even notice the difference. Its hardly noticeable to PC nerds and let alone "normal" people seeing a difference.
The scale is basically 50/50. Desktops are a bit powerful but it’s not really that noticeably different. But, you still have to buy all the peripherals and that can become SUPER expensive on top of the PC itself and your literally stuck in one place and can’t really easily take it with you anywhere.
A gaming laptop on the other hand already has all the peripherals built into it, it’s still extremely powerful and its super easy to take with you anywhere you go.
I feel like the performance difference between the two isn’t worth the extra money and isn’t worth all the other expensive peripherals when the laptops can give you the exact same experience. Its just not worth it just to have a handful more frames per second. The difference in FPS are going to be damn near impossible for "normal" people to notice and youll still be getting a super smooth gaming experience with 100-120+ frame rates.
For the "nerds" like me who would notice the difference, its just because we pay very close attention and trained ourselves to notice it and its really not that much better. Unless you have a super high end PC with curved OLED 4k monitors and the best CPU and GPU on the market. Then everyone would notice it, lmao. And that’s really still not even worth it to me!! It would still do the same exact thing as a budget gaming laptop and just for the games to look extremely more colorful and much more sharp. Especially if you have never experienced that before, you can’t tell the difference between something you havent seen yet and the gaming laptops still look extremely good!.
My build minus the peripherals was about 1000 and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Just do your research and buy your products thru a trusted site
But the laptop is coming with the monitor and the keyboard and the mouse but the PC only comes with the case the laptop is like a case and keyboard and a mouse combined
What about keyboard monitor speaker or headphones?
i got a ryzen 7 and an AMD radeon PC for 600$. is this a scam?
For 1k i got a amd b650m motherboard, a rtx asus 4060 dual, a ryzen 5 7600, 32 gigs of ram and all the other components i needed brand new
DO NOT BUY A LAP TOP
I got an Asus TUF 2 years ago, i enjoy myself with it, can play almost any game, but i admit in summer he runs a little loud with the fan but im mobile.
bro really refrenced the 1k bill
As someone owning an msi katana with a gtx4070, i really dont have anything thats annoys me. I can use it anywhere, i dont need a monitor or a keyboard and it takes up way less space then a tower plus monitor plus keyboard.
1000 dollars for a pc with just a 4060 is a scam lmao better off choosing your own parts to get a better balance
Pls help me to upgrade my pc, it’s an old build, so the inner parts neads to be changed….. I have a be quiet! case
I mean me personally I run older laptops, and have a 700 dollar pc
The major difference between laptops and pc is that you don’t need to invest to much on an monitor or keyboard or speakers
this pc is like 1200$ in my country LOL
Hi
rtx4050 🤡
I’m upgrading my pc and you just named the exact cpu gpu combo I’m going with
I heard the 4060 laptop and desktop versions were basically the same chip.
Remember the 144hz monitor and keyboard the laptop comes with while also being portable

They made a rtx 4050?
Or just get it from micro center, my laptop was $1099.99 and it has a 3090 and 12700k along with a 165 Hz OLED display
Even tho pc’s give better performance, I prefer laptops because of their portability and they have a keyboard, monitor and mouse even tho the keyboard etc are not that good, it’s still smth
Bro forgot for a pc we gotta buy keyboard mouse and a monitor, while for laptop u only need a mouse

That’s why I’m going for a sff pc, relatively portable compared to a stationary but not a pick it up put it down wherever either like a laptop is
I’m migrate alot and laptop is pretty much my only option.
Bro just frogot the monitor and keyboard for the pc if dou compare it then the difference is way smaller
could u tell me a good set up like what to buy for the components like could u list them bc i have no clue and my budget is around 1k — 2.5k so could u tell me what part to buy and i dont know so is it ok if you could list them?? @ZachsTechTurf
Okay build me a pc under 1000$
Besides that he didn’t mention the most important thing – lifespan. A laptop will be barely usable after 2 years of gaming. A PC would probably last at least 10 years without big performance issues.
Yooo I just got a prebuilt with a 7600X and 4060ti, 32GB of ddr5, and 1TB of storage. Buy from Andromeda Insights LLC, they’re awesome.

yesss true now try to squeeze a monitor and other external devices in that 1000$
4060 laptop and desktop have the same die which their performance not too far apart except the laptop you got 30-100watt max tdp limit its a bit far behind.
Can you please tell me which components for 1000 dollar pc when i try to make one the components come to 10000 dollars
guys is msi katana 15 good?
Nitro is trash
i got a 14400k and 4060 for 850 (before 6% sales tax), did i get a good deal?
but that 1000 without monitor and keyboard and other stuff
so its cost more
i have a pc too and i upgrade it every few months but i am a person who travels very often so i prefer laptops
